Dakar, Senegal (MAT)- The Billionaire Aliko Dangote, in collaboration with the former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, will give a boost to African startups. They reached an agreement with the Duke of York, to launch the African Entrepreneurship Program (AEP).
The EPA will be a joint initiative of the World Summit on Investment in Africa with the help of Palace pitch. This is a program that aims to connect African entrepreneurs and young companies, especially those that need capital and mentoring to potential investors.
Young entrepreneurs and start-up of the program will present their business ideas to potential investors at the World Summit on Investment in Africa to be held this year, with the three most talented entrepreneurs selected to present their proposals for Business at Duke of York Palace pitch which will take place in London on 1 and 2 December 2015.
The program aims to boost the private sector in Africa and to boost innovation across the continent. Dangote and Obasanjo will thus provide a significant support to young companies and entrepreneurs selected by the ASP.
